Reasons to love it – and reasons not to

Superb location close to metro, excellent breakfast with plenty of quality options.

Limited parking availability made it inconvenient, and shower temperature was inconsistent.

The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from the heart of the city, making it easy to explore major attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast offered a good variety of options to start my day right. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a modern bathroom that added to my comfort.

The only downside during my stay was the unreliable room alarm during an emergency, which could be concerning.

The sixth-floor room was massive and came with a fantastic balcony offering stunning views of the distant Sagrada Familia. The hotel had a decent lockable luggage storage option and Wi-Fi was strong, which made it easy to stay connected without hassle.

The inconsistent room sizes can throw you off, especially if you expect a spacious accommodation but end up in something a bit snug. Breakfast options were a bit limited, leaving a desire for more variety in the morning. On top of that, controlling the air conditioning was frustrating, as it felt more like a suggestion than a choice. The parking situation was hit or miss, with the hotel often full, leading to a hunt for nearby paid spaces.

The room was cozy and clean, which I really appreciated. Simple but nice decor, and the tropical shower nozzle was a cool touch! Good water pressure too. Only downside was the air conditioning – could have been better, but overall, the bed was comfy and I slept well.

Perfect spot for us! We hit up some nearby local bars and had a blast exploring the city. The room was spacious enough for our group and the location made it easy to catch the metro. Staff were friendly and helped us with our questions. We left our bags securely before check-in, which was a nice touch.

The air conditioning struggled a bit during our stay, which made the hotter days less comfortable. It could use some improvement.

The Caledonian features beautifully modern decor with a lovely, clean ambiance. The staff, particularly Ian, were incredibly accommodating, assisting with suggestions and ensuring my stay was comfortable—from arrival to during my outings around Barcelona.

More amenities in rooms would enhance the experience.

It was just a great match for a swift visit in Barcelona with outstanding value. The balcony views were amazing, making evenings so enjoyable. Try local bars for a taste of authentic nightlife.

perfect spot for exploring parks and iconic landmarks

i stayed for 2 nights in a single room which was roomy enough for one person, and the location is fantastic, being just a 15-minute walk to the gothic quarter and almost 2 km from the beautiful magic fountain.
